Drivers Education


Summer 2010 Drivers Education classes are held in room 167 of the Spring Lake Park High School Learning Alternative Community School from 9:00 AM-Noon, Monday through Friday.  Two classes to choose from:  June 14-June 25 or July 26-August 6, 2010.

Community Education  offers a combined Driver’s Education program that includes both the thirty-hours of classroom instruction and the 6-hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.  Additionally, students will take their Permit test during the last classroom session if class minimum of 24 is met.  Student must be present for all 30 hours of classroom instruction.

Classes are limited to 30 students and spots secured on a first-come, first-served basis. Register early to secure your spot.

The $360 class fee may be paid in one of three ways: 

1st Option:  $120 for 1/2 of classroom instruction, $120 before the end of classroom, $120 before behind-the-wheel (BTW)  

2nd Option:  $240 for the full classroom, $120 before behind-the-wheel (BTW)

3rd Option:  $360 full payment

 All fees must be paid to Community Education either by check, cash, or Visa, MasterCard or Discover.  Registration can be online or in-person at the CE office, 1415 81st Ave. NE (District Services Center).
